Current version: Version 2.0.1.5; 10 December 2020

Before installing, it is advisable to remove the old version of the driver through Control Panel - Programs and Components - Uninstall Programs.

Minimum system requirements

FoxxWire ASIO Driver requires Windows 7 or later.

To work, you need a local network with a bandwidth of 100 Mbps.

General information

FoxxWire ASIO Driver is intended for playing and recording audio through devices manufactured by Tract Company (TR-322, TR-705, SYNERGY MINI console) using programs running MS Windows 7 and later. The driver establishes communication with the equipment and exchanges audio streams through the IP network using the FoxxWire protocol.

For a program on a MS Windows workstation, the driver looks like multichannel ASIO recording and playback devices. The driver in the ASIO standard allows to improve the operation of multichannel devices, in particular, when transmitting an audio stream, it provides low levels of transmission and high accuracy.

The supported sampling rates are 44100 or 48000 Hz.

Description

From the point of view of the operating system, the driver is:

  • installed service of the OS, which must be started for the driver to work;
  • DLL with COM objects registered as standard Steinberg ASIO driver. It provides the presence of ASIO recording and playback devices that can be detected by programs that support ASIO devices;
  • GUI application for configuring and configuring driver components.

Installation of FoxxWire ASIO Driver is done in a standard way after downloading the distribution package from the link above.

ASIO-driver can be used with Tract Company equipment: TR-322, TR-705 and the SYNERGY MINI console.

FoxxWire ASIO Driver setup

FoxxWire ASIO Driver has its own configurator, which allows the user to configure the desired device to work with the driver.

Launch Tract ASIO Driver Configurator by calling it from the Main Menu.

In the window that opens, a list of connected devices appears on the List of units under service tab.

Buttons добавить_убрать.png allow you to add or remove the necessary devices for this configuration, and вниз_вверх.pngarrange them in the desired order.

The order affects the location and numbering of the audio channels, the connected devices on the ASIO driver channels.

By changing the IP address, you can get a list of available devices on another subnet.

Important: in one saved driver configuration there can be devices from only one subnet.

On the Service Settings tab, select the required sampling rate: 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz.

In addition, the tab indicates the port on which the service will operate (Base port), the broadcast address for polling devices on the network (UDP broadcast port) and the logging level (Logging level).

TR-705 only: Tuning tuners for recording devices.

For each added device, you must set the FM frequency settings of the four built-in tuners of the TR-705 device in Mhz.

After all the settings have been selected, click OK.

All settings are saved in the configuration file * .json, which is located in the same folder as the executable driver file.
Settings can also be corrected in the configuration file itself.

After changing configuration files in manual mode, it is necessary to restart the driver service from the OS control panel.
When using the configurator, it independently informs the service about the change of parameters.
